Do you want to go to the reserved Zone of ​​the Manu National Park and you don’t have much time, and without investing much?

This is your option, we use 4×4 trucks to travel as quickly as possible to the Manu National Park and to enter the reserved area of ​​the park we use certified boats. Where you can feel the warm climate of the jungle and enjoy the beautiful landscape and be able to see caimans, capybaras, bears, sloths, turtles, monkeys, and even the majestic Jaguar.

1 night within the Manu National Park – visit to the Salvador and Brashco  oxbow lakes to see the giant otters – bird watching from observation tower – parrot clay lick – a night in the camouflaged house to see nocturnal animals at night such as tapir, porcupine, deer and among other animals – night walk to see Caimans, snakes, tarantulas, frogs, insects – bird watching – botanical garden – hummingbird garden.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO – DORADO LODGE / NUEVO EDEN

We leave Cusco at 3:00 am in the morning in our private car adapted for the route with mountains and jungle we pass through the Paucartambo valley and a small town of the same name which is a folkloric town known as the folkloric capital of Peru, then we will arrive at the Ajanaco pass which is the beginning of the Manu National Park from this point we will descend to the Amazon jungle ; through a beautiful cloud forest. In this area we will take walks and stops to look for exotic birds of the cloud forest, especially the national bird of Peru, the Cock of the Rock, toucans, quetzals, hummingbirds and mammals, such as: Coaties, woolly monkeys and cappuccinos; With good luck you can see the sloth  and the spectacled bear, and a wide variety of flowers and orchids. At noon we will be arriving at the Salvacion Village for our lunch.

Then we continue the trip in a 4×4 traction car adapted for the area and during the trip we will be able to see more birds and different species of monkeys. Arriving at the lodge we will have a short break to take a cool shower and rest a little, then we will go to the mammal clay lick and spend the night in a camouflaged house to see animals during the night such as: tapir, porcupine, deer and other nocturnal rodents. DAY 2: DORADO LODGE - CASA MATSIGUENKA LODGE

On this day we left the Lodge very quickly and continued our trip in our 4×4 car towards Boca Manu, where we took a motorized boat. Along the river, early in the morning we can see many parrots eating the clay in a parrot clay lick.

This river is located within the Manu National Park and is a very special habitat with very warm waters. The beaches and river banks are the perfect place to see large caimans, such as the black caiman and white caiman, turtles, butterflies and other mammals, and with good luck you can see big cats such as: the Jaguar, the Puma and others. small felines, and a great variety of monkeys of different species, some of them eating clay on the river bank and many birds such as herons, seagulls, skimmers, toucans, macaws, eagles, etc. It will be  approximately 6 hours  trip with some short stops along the way. DAY 3: CASA MATSIGUENKA LODGE - SALVADOR LAKE - MACAW CLAY LICK

This day there we do full activity in the morning we explore the lake on a catamaran, here we can see the Giant Otter (river wolf) these mammals eat between 3 to 5 kilos of fish each day, and there are not many lakes anymore in the Amazon jungle with abundant fish, only in national parks like Manu. We will also see more Caimans, turtles, herons, many species of monkeys in large groups. Then we have the option of going to see the Matsiguenka macaw clay lick, to see the parrots and macaws eating clay, this clay lick is very rich in minerals and for that reason many species of birds and mammals visit frequently to obtain the minerals that they need for their metabolism.

In the afternoon after lunch we visit  Otorongo Lake, here we will climb a 20 meter high Tower to see parrots, macaws, eagles, toucans and many birds flying through the treetops and enjoy the panoramic view of the lake. and then we continue exploring this beautiful jungle looking for more species of animals, and the guide explains the relationship between plant, animal, insect and the function of different ecosystems and the medicinal functions of plants. DAY 4: CASA MATSIGUENGUA LODGE – DORADO LODGE / NUEVO EDEN

Very early in the morning we left the Lodge and began to return along the same river, this day, a very cool morning we will have a very high chance of seeing the Magestic Jaguar, capybaras, sloths , caimans, turtles, Arriving at the checkpoint of the park rangers here we take a short walk to another observation tower to see yellow macaws and other swamp birds and monkeys. In the afternoon we will arrive to the Lodge, here after a rest we will go out to explore the jungle and do the night walk to look for frogs, snakes, night monkeys, spiders, tarantulas and many insects. DAY 5: DORADO LODGE - CUSCO

This day after breakfast we leave the Lodge and begin to return in our private car to Cusco making some stops for lunch and in places where we can see some animals or birds that we need to see. Arriving in Cusco approximately 6pm. B.L.
