Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa

We pick up from your hotel (4:45 a.m. approx.) We board the car in the direction of the town of Mollepata approximately 3 hours, when we arrive at the town we have breakfast there. Then we will continue by car until we reach Challacancha to start our hike 2 to 3 hours approximately by a horseshoe path and Inca canal to Soraypampa where we will have our lunch. In the afternoon you can take the opportunity to visit the Laguna de Humantay (4200 m.a.s.l.), it is 2 hours uphill and 1 hour down to the Soraypampa camp (3850 m.a.s.l.) and there we will spend the night after our dinner. Day 2: Soraypampa – Chaullay.

Very early in the morning after a delicious breakfast we will leave our campsite in the direction of the snowy Salkantay that is at (4,620 masl) which is the highest point of the whole route for approximately 4 hours we will ascend this first step where we will have a short break to take the breathtaking views that will be appreciated from this point. During the journey we will find several mounds of stones called Apachetas. Then we will descend for approximately 2 hours to Wayracmachay where we will have lunch and then we will continue walking for 3 hours aprox. Through a cloud forest until we reach Chaullay where our second camp is located. Dinner and overnight. D.A.C.

Day 3: Chaullay – La Playa – Santa Teresa

After our breakfast we leave from chaullay at 7:00 am. approx. to continue with our walk towards Collcapampa through a cloudy forest by narrow paths with abundant flora typical of the area such as the different types of orchids and waterfalls that will be seen during the whole journey. After 5 hours approx. We will finally reach Sawayaco, also known as the beach, where we will have lunch and then take a car 45 minutes to Santa Teresa, which is located at 1,645 m.s. arriving in Santa Teresa around 3.00 pm. Where we will settle for the night. After a short rest we will go to the medicinal hot springs of Cocalmayo (not included) which is located at 4.5 km approx. of Santa Teresa. Dinner and overnight. Day 4: Santa Teresa – Hidroeléctrica – Aguas Calientes

In the morning after having our breakfast we will go by car for approximately 30 minutes until we reach Hidroeléctrica, after arriving at Hidroeléctrica we will continue walking approximately 3 hours until we reach Aguas Calientes. Arriving at hot waters where we will have lunch and we will settle in the lodging and we will coordinate the ascent of the following day to the city of Machu Picchu. D.A.C.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Ollantay Tambo – Cusco

Very early in the morning (5:30 am) we will take our breakfast (included in the lodging) to transport us in the first bus that will take us to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu for about 30 minutes. Then we will have our guided tour for approximately 2 hours where the guide will take us to the most important places of the citadel, after our visit we will have the rest of the hours free to take pictures and tour by our account in Machu Picchu (time It depends a lot on the train schedule given since it has to be an hour before the departure of your train in the station), the other option is to go up Huayna Picchu or Mountain (not included) to appreciate the breathtaking view of the whole citadel. Finally we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes and then go to the station and wait for our train that will take us back to the town of Ollantaytambo and then by bus to Cusco where we will be approximately 10:30 PM. End of our service.
