Ausangate 7 Lakes 1day

The route of the 7 Ausangate lagoons is a one-day tour, on this tour you visit the beautiful lagoons of different colors that are located on the slopes of snow-capped Ausangate (6834m). , which is one of the highest snow-capped mountains in this region.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Pacchanta

The tour begins with pickup from your hotel at 4:30 am. Then we make a 2:30 hour trip on a paved road to the town of Tinke and 30 minutes on an unpaved road to the community of Pacchanta (4200m).

In this place the weather is very changeable to extreme. During the day the weather can change from being sunny to being cloudy and rainy and even hail falling.

Here we will have breakfast, then we will begin the walk to the 7 lagoons for about 5 hours. On way you will be able to see the fauna and flora of the Andes such as: llamas, alpacas, even vicuñas and many exotic birds at this altitude. And during our tour we will pass the following beautiful lagoons, Each lake of different colors and shades: azulcocha, pucacocha, sibinacocha, otorongococha, alqacocha, comercocha.

In this place we can not only enjoy these beautiful lagoons but also the Majestic snow-capped Ausangate mountain, which is the highest peak in this region (6834m). and other mountains such as: Butterfly (5800m.), Jampa (5500m.), Pucapunta (5740m.), Caracol Mountain (5650m.).

After visiting these lagoons we return to the starting point for our lunch. And after lunch you will have the opportunity to relax in the hot springs located in this same lunch place.

And finally our transportation will  bring you back to Cusco and leave you at your Hotel.
